The field is large enough for trailers and horses. Hitching rails are provided. The camping area is open year-round and has a capacity of around 100 people and horses. The campground and the trail are part of the lake Vesuvius Horse Trail System. The Lake Vesuvius horseback trails system is 46.66 miles long and has 9 trails.
