Some of the most striking landscapes in Ohio can be found on the Lake Vesuvius horse trails. They will lead you through the vegetation where a lot of the wildlife live. You'll ride along rock cliffs, water falls, streams and ridge tops. You can go through a variety of vegetation if you follow the trails. Expect to see open fields, brushland, and young forests. The influence and land management activities of the man will be noticed along the way. The Lake Vesuvius horseback trails system is 46 miles long and has 9 trails, 4 trailheads, and one horse campground.
