About
The southern shores of Grand Island are where Murray Bay is located. It is an attractive place to camp because of the beauty and history of the island. The Grand Island National Recreation Area is filled with sandstone cliffs, forest, beaches, and winter ice caves which date back to 2000 B.C. A single campsite with up to 25 guests and a picnic area are available at this day use area. Both have tables and campfire rings. Water and toilets are provided. The day use site does not allow camping. The sites have a bear pole and a box for food storage.
