About
There is a network of roads within the park that allow access to the lakeshore and other areas off the beaten path. The roads are marked with a yellow arrow. The road number is found in the center of the arrow. It is not allowed to drive on roads or trails that are not marked with the yellow arrow. It's a good idea to travel on backcountry roads with caution. The National Park Service does not allow driving off roads, in washes or across country, which can cause damage to the desert soil.
