The park has a network of roads that allow access to the lakeshore and other areas that are off the beaten path. There are roads that have been approved. The road number is listed in the center of the arrow. It is forbidden to drive on roads or trails without a yellow arrow. It's possible to change conditions without notice on hundreds of miles of roads. Travelers are asked to travel on roads with caution. Driving off roads in washes or cross country is not allowed by the National Park Service. Staying on approved roads, respecting other visitors' rights and carrying out trash and litter is what you need to preserve the park.
