It was closed for the season. The power administration is taking down transmission lines. Public access to the work area will be restricted due to safety concerns. The area is closed to the public for the next three years. The rest of the park is open to the public. Giles L. French Park is a campsite with free primitive camping and up to 14 days of use. No reservations; first-come, first-served. There are no reservations for primitive campsites. All primitive campsites have a seven-day use limit. It's permissible for camping from April 1 to October 31.
