About

The State of Utah acquired the Moab Exchange lands in 1965, in exchange for the lands within the newly-designated Canyonlands National Park. The Division of Fire and State Lands is responsible for the management of the Prairie Dog Haven Unit and the 4,350 Dalton Wells Unit in Utah. The CMP was designed to accommodate both public and private uses in order to not impair the public trust resources.
