About This Trail
There is a preserve in north Lee County that is mostly pine flatwood. The preserve includes portions of Yellow Fever Creek, a narrow channel that accumulates shallow water during the wet season. There is a trail system at this preserve. There is a small parking area on Del Prado Boulevard and marked hiking trails nearby. The Yellow Fever Creek Preserve Trail can be either an out and back or a loop. Dogs are allowed on a leash. The trail is sandy in some places. The pine flatwood is a type of vegetation community that is intermediate between grassland and forest.
