About This Trail
The Wood River is a great place to go for a half day. It was a wonderful variety from a lost nature setting to cruising through rustic civilization. The Wood River is a great small adventure for kayak or canoe because of the thick overgrown streams and wide open lake at the end of the trip. Two easy portages are easy to navigate. Silence is Golden when you're trying to catch a golden trout, and please be respectful of trout fishermen along the way.
