In the autumn of 1777, the American forces defeated the British and forced them to surrender. The Battle of Saratoga changed the face of the world and renewed the hopes of the Americans for independence. The Visitor Center has a park map and brochure that you can pick up. The Visitor Center also has a book and gift shop and a fiber-optic light map.
