About This Trail
It was rough, remote and beautiful. There are animals at an occasional site. The last two Tuesdays of July will see a couple hundred runners. The trail is steep and high so you will need to stop for breathers if you are not used to it. The views make it worth it. It's easy to follow and not a long trail. You realize the magnitude of your surroundings as you get closer to the lake. This area is special and unique. It can be windy and cold at any time of the year, so prepare for adverse weather conditions.
