Whitehouse Overlook via Piedmont Overlook Trail Loop

A nice hike through a wooded area. The paths are well cared for. This is a popular park and you can expect to run into other hikers here. There are a lot of trails to choose from, from a little over a mile to a loop of about 8 miles. south of where the trail goes into Ashby Gap are the park trails. The Gap Run Trail goes up to the North Ridge Trial before going down the South Ridge Trail. The trails are shaded by trees but there are some scenic overlooks that are open. The park has many facilities, but it's mainly geared towards hiking.
