Whitaker Woods to Soapstone Mountain via White and Yellow Blazes

The parking lot of the Whitaker Woods Nature Preserve is on Wells Road. Go to the right and follow the White Blazes south. At 1.5 miles. You'll cross Mountain View Road. The next loop leads to the parking lot off of Gulf Road. The road that goes up the mountain is parallel to the parking lot. The Power Line Trail is a favorite trail of the locals and is not an official trail on the map. There is a lookout tower at the summit. Go to the right to return to the parking lot after following the White Blazes back to the first loop.
