About This Trail
The Upper Seymour Lake can be hiked out and back, or it can be a longer hike that follows the Continental Divide Trail. The trail goes above Lower Seymour Lake Campground. The parking lot has a pit toilet. The trail is used by hikers. The trail to Upper Seymour goes into the wilderness area. The trail is part of the Continental Divide Trail. The trail is in good shape and goes through Lodgepole Pine forests most of the way. Seymour Creek is usually within earshot, and there are numerous springs along the way. The trail is easy for the first 4.5 miles and even then it is not strenuous. The lake has a lot of camping opportunities. The CD Trail goes north to Goat Flat and Storm Lake Pass.
