About This Trail

Imported description
The shortest approach to the mountain is the Western Approach. This is a trail in the national forest. The Southern Approach is close to 5 miles. The longest one is called the Goldhill - eastern approach. The trail is well maintained and has good rewards such as a good workout at a 900 ft elevation gain, a nice view from the lookout platform at the summit, and a couple sections through old-growth forest. There are forest roads that are prone to rock falls and tree falls. It is a good idea to check with a ranger station before heading up to the trail to avoid bad weather.
