About This Trail
27 acres of the land has never been altered by man. The land was never used for farming. According to legend, the spirits of the Potawatomie were known to travel from Green Bay to the Chicago area during the 1700s and 1800s. The truth is verified by the method of tree marking used by the tribes. The forest is home to a variety of plant life and animals that are on the list of "endemic species".
