About This Trail

Imported description
Some of the best views in the mid-Atlantic. The panoramic view of New Market Gap, the Luray Valley, and the Strickler Knob summit can be seen from the trail. A nice hike with a rock scramble. The rock scramble on the last 0.2 miles of the Strickler Knob trail is just as enjoyable as the Old Rag and Duncan Knob trail. You can shorten the hike by two miles by parking at the Scothorn Gap trailhead. The Strickler Knob trail is not an official trail and is considered a bushwack. This hike is not suitable for children or dogs.
