About This Trail
It was easy to go out and back for a total of 6 miles. The National Park description says that the trail goes past the 2.5 mile mark. Go to the river at 2.7 to explore the rock bar and rapids. The trail goes through a mature forest, following the base of a tall ridge on one side and the New River on the other. There are several river access points. The trail is rocky.
