Stevenson Brook Trail

NOTE: Stevenson Brook Trail starts at about 120 meters past the Park Office. From May to late October, all visitors are required to pay a day use fee of $4 for adults and $2 for kids. Pedestrians walking into the park are also required to pay the day use fee at the park office. There is parking for this trail. Use of the park's swim beaches and boat rentals are for campers only. Waterbury Center State Park (about 20 minutes away, around the reservoir on Rte. 100 north) is available for day-use beach/boating access. The Stevenson Brook Trail starts on the park road by the dumpsters, on the other side of a red gate, heading into the woods toward the right. It ends at the Dalley Loop Trail after approximately 2.8 miles, at which point if you turn RIGHT onto Dalley Loop, RIGHT onto the Cut-off Trail, across the stream and LEFT onto Stevenson Brook and head back toward the park road you will eventually have a 4.55 mile round-trip. In times of high water, the Cut-off Trail will require getting feet wet....if you bypass this and return to the road on Dalley Loop it becomes a 4.89 mile r/t.
