About This Trail
The trail hugs the wooded bluffs that Lewis and Clark followed up the river in the 19th century. The explorers described the flora, fauna and natural landmarks in their historic journals. The Steamboat Trace is a great place to see the oaks, cottonwoods and other trees in the fall.
