About This Trail
There is a trail at the park where you can look at the coal mining history. You will find the pillars from the mines steam hoist along this trail. A steam hoist is a crane that raises and lowers objects. The easiest way to get to this trail is hiking the Wildside Trail. You can continue on the Wildside Trail onto the Steam Hoist Trail once you reach the Rainbow Town Trail intersection. The intersection of Rainbow Town Trail and Steam Hoist is where you can connect to the trail. You should follow the other trail guides to make sure you're on the correct trail, or you should get a paper trail map at the Red Town parking area.
