About This Trail
The trail goes from the highway to the site of the old prison camp. The power line poles are no longer hanging over the camp. The trail follows portions of a route that leads to an example of desert habitat. The trail winds up the mountain and goes down to the Soldier Canyon where you can see the waterfall when the stream is running. When the falls are dry, it's nice to see the boulder-strewn cascades.
