About This Trail
You will need a high-clearance vehicle to get to this trail. The gravel road turns into a rutted and sometimes steep road after the turnoff. You could camp at the base of the trail. There are two primitive campfire rings. The trail begins through high grass and then goes higher for amazing views. Pictures cannot do justice. It looks like this trail has had some maintenance in the past, but this year there is a lot of growth. Several fallen trees, muddy trails, and overgrown and unclear trail sections are some issues. You do cross several creeks. It is worth it for the view over the pass. The wildflowers are amazing after the spring melt.
