About This Trail
This is an extremely challenging all-day destination. The summits are protected by miles of steep, rocky terrain. Only those who are experienced, fit, and prepared should be hiking. There is a scramble up the summit from the saddle. The topo "Ladron Peak" is from the US Geological Survey. Go from the parking spot to an arroyo that is part of the Sevilleta refuge. The exit from the arroyo will lead to the ridge. Continue with small ups and downs to the summits.
