Shoup Bay Trail Section A

The A section of the Shoup Bay Trail is from the trail head to the bridge. It is a scenic tract, which is running through a forest. After 7/7 mile it opens onto the grassland. There are lots of flowers for the next two-thirds of the way up the trail. The trail begins with a gradual ascent to the east and south, giving views to the east and west. On a steep descent, one can easily get to the camping area and bridge. There is a campfire, restroom, and food lockers in the camping area before the bridge.
