About This Trail

The hike follows the nordic ski trails. It was easy, but 75% in the sun. The hike to Shadow Mountain is on Nordic ski paths. It is easy, but it is not ranked as moderate due to the distance and the fact that most of the hike is in the sun. Bring a wide brimmed hat and a sun screen. It is worth going to Shadow Mountain. The peak is different from other's. The quote is from the Spokane State Park. There is no one to be found, not many people venture this far out. You are rewarded for your hard work by the old growth forest and great views. You will consume more than you think with the sun on this hike. This hike goes around the mountain. It adds 2 miles and 1 1/2 hours to the hike if you detour up to the top of the mountain. The Hike Time is 4:09:56 and it takes 10.50 miles.
