About This Trail

The San Tan Trail is to the west of the San Tan Regional Park Visitor Center. The trail goes west for about half a mile before heading north. To get to the loop, take the Moonlight Trail east. It was easy going. It is rated as difficult by the county parks. The elevation gain is spread evenly. There are several pairs of curved bill thumpers, cottontail rabbits, saguaros, cholla, barrel cacti, and creasote.
