About This Trail
The old quarry buildings and static displays of mining equipment are what I want to see while walking through the Alamo Quarry Market. Go uphill to head of La Jara Creek and follow it downhill under the trees. Continue through Alamo Heights neighborhood and see the homes on Bluebonnet. The covered corredor at the high school has a water fountain, soda machines, and seating. Continue through quiet backstreets to the school. Walk through the center of the city and you will find St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Continue through the grounds. You will pass a church that is modern and beautiful. The large open-pit quarry is near the market. The view from the top of the stairs is good.
