About This Trail

Imported description

The Mt Greylock Reservation is a great place to visit, without having to travel to the Greylock summit. The trail begins easy and goes downhill. The trail begins to get a bit rough, and gains some elevation within a few minutes. You will use a nice portion of the Appalachian Trail to return. From the mountain you can see the view of Mt. There is a vista spot south of the mountaintop that will let you see upstate New York. There are many opportunities to get to know the flora and fauna of Massachusetts. There is almost all of the microclimate represented. There are a lot of different types of trees. On the Jones Nose trail you can enjoy bird watching on a lightly wooded area that has beautiful wildflowers and scattered trees.
