About This Trail
It takes a full day to hike the trail. This hike is very strenuous since most of the hike is done at elevation and offers views and wildlife. There are some steep climbs and gentle hiking on the top of the ridge. There is a historic Austin House next to Rock Castle Creek, as well as an old shelter on the Appalachian Trail. There are multiple places to start this hike.
