About This Trail

Rice Creek was once a plantation. It is now a swamp, flatwoods, and forest. It's a key parcel for connecting the Cross Florida Greenway. The area is a wildlife corridor. Florida black bear, turkey, river otter, wood duck, and diverse migratory songbirds are supported by natural community diversity. The trails are not used often. I propose that you carry a branch to clear spider webs. The W trail is always flooded. It's worth it for the 1,886-foot boardwalk.
