The first part of the Read Mountain Preserve is on the Buzzard Rock trail. You can take a left at the first trail junction and travel for over 1.5 miles to the CCC trail. The summit ridge is on the CCC trail until you reach the junction with the Buzzard Rock trail. You can go to Buzzard Rock here. The parking area is where you should go if you want to descend via the Buzzard Rock and Crossover Trail.
