The marsh is well known for its flocks of Canada geese, but it is also home to more than 300 different types of birds. The Horicon Marsh has a unique and important story. The geologic features of the area were instrumental in providing resources for both humans and wildlife. The Horicon Mash has a rich history of culture and story, but it is also a place of tragedy and restoration. The Horicon Marsh is the result of geologic and human activities.
