Possum Walk Trail at Stennis Space Center

This trail is closed during hunting season. The Possum Walk Trail is the starting point of the Heritage Trail. The trail's first three miles were opened. The Possum Walk Trail starts at Infinite and ends at the Logtown Cemetery. Markers along the way show the history of Possum Walk, an African American community that was relocated in the wake of the 1960s Space Program. There are interpretive signs along the trail that show some of the plants and animals that are native to this area.
