Pollywog Pond Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary Loop

There is a heavily wooded area off Upriver Road. When coming from the east, take the Sharpsburg Road exit from I-37, stay on the road, and go to the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail sign. Polliwog has two entrances. The area is around three ponds. Waterbirds, songbirds and migrants are mentioned. One of the top birdwatching spots in the coastal bend. It is best in migration and winter.
