Pitchoff Mountain and Balancing Rocks Trail

Excellent views of the High Peaks wilderness can be seen from this rocky ridge. It can be done in two different ways: in or out from the one side or the other. It's an enjoyable hike for all skill levels and offers good views into the High Peaks. There are steep rock scrambles that can be prepared for wet and icy conditions. TheBalancing Rocks area is where a fun hike up Pitchoff Mountain took place. The high peaks have nice views over the summit ridge. If it is cold on the way up, just watch out.
