About This Trail
You can get to the Canyon Rim Center on a Hike through a forest and a trail leading to a tram. The Heritage Point overlook had a fantastic view of the canyon and the mountain creek lodge. The River Trail leads to the bottom of the canyon, though a river crossing is required. Due to heavy horse traffic it can be muddy during the rainy season. Take a right at the intersection and you'll see the view back out. Have a snak, and get some gift shopping when you return to Canyon Rim Center. If you want to explore more on the lower River Trail, then be sure to ride the Tram to the canyon bottom.
