Piestewa (Squaw) Peak and Freedom Loop Trail

If you are going to hike to the summit of Piestewa Peak, you should bring with you your community spirit. The peak is drawn to by hikers, walkers, sightseers and runners because of its proximity to the city of Phoenix. The mountain can still be fun even though it is crowded, and you can extend your adventure along the less traveled Circumference Trail. It is a challenge to understand the parking restrictions. The parking lot closes at 7pm. The Park is open until 11pm.
