About This Trail

Imported description
The trail is labeled as such on many maps. It was converted to a county park after the park was completed. The trail tread is made of rocky, clay or sand. It may have weeds. It's open year round, but the summer months are hot, humid, and buggy. There is parking at both ends. The west end has a large grass parking area with room for horse trailers. The east end is only for passenger cars. The parkway's toll is collected at the east end so that the parkway can be reached from the west end without paying a toll. It is possible that equestrians may want to evaluate trail conditions before starting. There is a short section under the water with fist-size rocks near the trail.
