About This Trail
This one-way trail is quite interesting for its variety. The trail goes through the North Crater and goes into the vent for the flow. The northwest flank of North Crater is missing. A series of flows rafted the fragments after the wall was torn apart. The trail goes down to the Spatter Cones. In order to protect fragile lava formations, off trail travel is not allowed in the Big Craters area.
