About This Trail
There is a day use permit needed to enter the BWCA. You need to carry a permit with you as you hike. Go to the North Arm parking lot and follow the signs to the North Star Run. The conclusion is that you should take the Lost Lakes branch to Coxey Pond and then return to North Star Run. Go back on the Coxey Pond branch and use one of the branches in the loop. There are rare Minnesotan pitcher plants on the edge of Coxey Pond. You can fall through them or get your shoes wet, if you get a little wet when the shoes sink a little.
