About This Trail

Imported description
The entrance to the Dukes Forest Camping area is located at Lake Murray State Park. It is against the law in the park to park on the side of the road. The marking for the trail is small so be careful. The trail is narrow in most places. The trail crosses the lake in several places via footbridges, and it is visible from the shoreline. It is best to view wildlife in the morning and late afternoon. It is a great trail for night hiking. It is a great trail to bring a small fly rod and fishing in Lake Murray is amazing. Keep an eye out for mountain bike riders. Pack water if you can't get it at the trailhead.
