Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge

Birds can nest and rest at the refuge during breeding and hunting seasons. All of the islands are closed to the public at certain times. It is recommended that you be aware of special closings due to low water, fire danger, and other unforeseen events. Obey all posted signs. The Ninepipe NWR is not open for public use from sunset to sunrise. When the refuge is closed, vehicles cannot travel along Ninepipe Road. Entire refuge is open until the last day of February, and then closes for the rest of the year.
