About This Trail

The hike begins along the most popular section of the AT. The first day hike will end at Icewater Springs Shelter. You have to roll out your sleeping bag to the Blvd. It is possible to hike to the Jumpoff for great views. The second day will see a gain of 4644' over the first day. You will get a break for lunch at the halfway point of the shelter. Sequoyah and Mt. are paraphrased. Chapman was paraphrased. It was decided that Tri-Corner was the most remote location in Tennessee and you will feel it at the shelter tonight. The hike will start by climbing Mt Guyot and Old Black, then you will connect with the Low Gap Trail and descend into Cosby.
