Neil Compton and Amber Falls

Go through the woods behind the sign, then take a right on the hill. A small drainage to your right is the direction you want to travel to arrive at Whitaker Creek. You can follow the creek downstream toamberfalls once you hit the creek. If you keep a right when going down the creek you can reach Double Falls by keeping the water to the right. The two drainages will contain small waterfalls. The Falls will be reached after about 3 12 miles, and you can hear the falls, too. Save it for a really rainy day if you know how much water it requires to keep the waterfall running. It's a suggestion to come back the same way you came in. Markers with orange stripes help you navigate so look out for those in trees.
