About This Trail
Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is located in Pinson, Alabama, and is home to some of the most beautiful and unique places in the Southeast. The Southern Environmental Center is co-managed by the Freshwater Land Trust. The SEC and the Environmental Protection Agency reached an agreement in late 2008 to establish an environmental education center. The SEC opened this facility in May of 2009, and provides hands-on educational programming to school groups, scout troops, and others. Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is free to visit. It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
