Mountain Park Deadtop Loop via B-17 Crash Site

The trek begins at the Mountain Park which was once an amusement park. The course leads you to a park and a trail signed off by Obama a few years ago. There was a waterfall this day, as the rain has been steady. The old Mt Tom ski trail is in a state of disrepair, but there is a trail up it. On top of the Mt Tom MM trail there is a trail that leads to a view of Easthampton below. Continue on until you reach the Mt Tom summit and then take the paved road to the B-17 Memorial site. A Flying Fortress crashed on the way back from Newfoundland. All aboard were lost. The lives of the young boys were cut short. You can return via the reservoir to see the Mt Tom and the ridgeline.
