About This Trail
The trail starts in a forest with leaves on the trees. The grade starts with a gentle incline and never gets very steep. The evergreens replace the hard woods at 3,000 feet, creating a cozy feel as you approach Starr King. From Starr King you can see the entire Presidential Range. There is a trail that goes on at the large stone fireplace. The walk over from Starr King is beautiful, despite the summit being wooded. There are two expansion lots just to the east and west of Starr King Road.
