About This Trail
It is enjoyable if you are a geology enthusiast. It is located on the edge of Liberty Lake. It was an iron mine with a 2 foot iron vein. It began at the time of the American Revolution. It achieved a depth of 400 feet with a shaft to it. At its peak, it was able to employ up to 100 miners. There are two large mounds, both containing fantastic examples of local geology. The person is off the water near the half-way point. It is the turn around point at the top of the hill.
