Lyons Loop

The Lyons loop is a great trail that will expose the hiker to all the things that the park has to offer. You will traverse different types of terrain while being exposed to many of the different trails in this park. The Old Railroad Bed Trail is the same path as the steam locomotive that traveled from the Huntsville Depot to the Monte Sano Hotel from 1889 to 1896. The former limestone mine called Hermitage Quarry was passed through the loop. The Waterline Trail leads to a waterfall at the top of the mountain.
